A few nights ago, I attended an awesome discussion on relationships. The topic/ title of conversation was called Cuffing Season. Lol, right? If you are unfamiliar with the term, the Urban Dictionary defines cuffing season as, "...... the Fall and Winter months people who would normally rather be single or promiscuous find themselves along with the rest of the world desiring to be "Cuffed" or tied down by a serious relationship. The cold weather and prolonged indoor activity causes singles to become lonely and desperate to be cuffed."(2018) Well, the objective was to open people up to discuss for those that are single; how to deal with the holidays and the want to have an lover, companion, friends with benefits around for this Cold Season and the holidays. I love the way the facilitators listed the beginning of this yearning desire that typically begins about Halloween and ends after or before Valentines Day. All seemingly couple events. This open my eyes to what happens during this season for couples in long distance relationships as well. According to a Huffing Post Article, "During the Fall and Winter months people who would normally rather be single or promiscuous find themselves along with the rest of the world desiring to be “Cuffed” or tied down by a serious relationship.
